A project created by Jennifer Lauren Smith, Toyota Carova Equus Okracoke is scored by Nathan Halverson using field recordings collected near Carova Beach, North Carolina – the northernmost tip of the Outer Banks, accessible only by off-road vehicles. This piece is intended for large scale projection/cinematic presentation with a lectern, microphone stand, and a desk lamp. The images and text were created in 2010 and reworked for live presentation in 2013. This is an 8-minute excerpt with recorded narration and “reading script” as subtitle text.
